LETTER OF GRATITUDE TO THE ATTENTION OF FENCING FEDERATION OF UZBEKISTAN

For the first time in Tashkent were held the important competitions of World Cup on fencing among junior girls on 17-18 November.

As it is known in connection with running the competitions the best masters of fence —sportsmen and representatives of foreign national Federations of fencing from 32 countries visited our country.

It should be noted, that all the participants of the World Cup and managers, representatives of national Federation of fencing had a chance to closely get acquainted with the extensive work performed by the government of Uzbekistan in the area of development of physical training and sports, with the created opportunities for harmonious, inclusive growth of the youth.

In such a way, in recognition of Uzbekistan and the Federation of fencing continues to come «Letters of gratitude» addressed to the Fencing Federation of Uzbekistan. Recently, Federation has received a letter of gratitude from the Federation of fencing of Bulgaria.

 

It should be pointed out, that individual competition, where 53 participants took part, was held in Tashkent on 17 November.

Following the results of the junior’s World Cup stage on sabre among girls the Bulgarian Ioanna Ileva has become the gold medal winner, expansion team member of Bulgaria. Starting from 1/8 finale she has beaten four Russian lady fencers consecutively: Anastasiya Shorokhova –15:8, Anna Korolyova –15:14, Alina Mikhaylova – 15:12 and in the final Valeriya Kobzeva – 15:11. Thus, as a result Ioanna Iliyeva has won the grand prize of the tournament.
